How I spent my 4th of July, Pt. 2

The plane touched down three hours later than we would have if we had taken the planned flight schedule that had been booked for us, which isn’t bad since we spent more than 8 hours in  the Atlanta airport (Let me go ahead and thank Mario Puzo (rip) for writing such a long book in “The Godfather”).  When we got to the rental place for our car, another present awaited us.

For those who are not yet aware, I flew with my boss,  making me de facto chauffeur.  This is actually convenient, because he is possibly the most stable person in the organization.  Much moreso than the models, though driving them around might have been entertaining.  The guy at Enterprise said the reservation I had was for a “Full-size” car.  The full-size cars they had included a Chevy Malibu, a Ford Fusion, and a Dodge Charger.

I picked the Charger.

I picked the Charger because it is RWD, and Black.  And because it’s a CHARGER.  a 2011 with under 3000 miles on it, still smelling like a new car.

One thing the car doesn’t do is drive itself, so of course I make a wrong turn and drive through downtown Boston before making it back on the Interstate, where I sat at a standstill for a while, but hey, that’s any major city at 6pm on the major arteries out.

That being said the view from the bridge over the George River was awesome! Pics won’t be coming since I was driving, oh well…

90 minutes later we’re at our hotel bedding down.  I knew it was gonna be a long day.

The next morning I was the first of my group up, first to the show, first ready to rock and roll.  I carried the motivated attitude all day, and it was awesome!

Saturday was more of the same! Pure, uncut Awesome!  and I was dead to the world by the time I got done packing up the truck for the next show.

Englishtown, NJ, Here I come!
