Going back as far as I can remember, I’ve loved Mustangs. Growing up in the south probably has something to do with it. Of course when I got into import racing the Mustang was a bit of a clunky product in my opinion. I still enjoined riding in them, but I had no desire to drive one. The V8 was too old of an idea, my still-developing brain told me, but in 2004 that all changed (for the good).
that was when Ford announced a re-designed Mustang, from bumper to bumper. The car was awesome looking, just like the late 60’s models! I fell in love again. Of course that was around the time I got into drifting and Formula D. When I got there for the first time I was amazed how many Mustangs there were. This low-entry priced option (for a car at the time) was awesome! And it only took a few years before someone was winning all of Formula D in one.
